WANTED: Men Willing to Stand in the Gap

Imagine if we as men took the energy generated at rallies like these and brought them into our churches and into our communities, families and homes. There are sparks around this nation, but what if there was a great wildfire of revival across our land? What if men of God said I want the things of Heaven more than the things of this world. We are so consumed with material things than we are with spiritual. Ask yourself if you put as much energy to your work or vacation time than you do with your quiet time. I am not saying we shouldn't have nice things or go on vacations, but I have found attendance is a lot higher at a church picnic than on a prayer vigil. And prayer is the power and foundation of the body of Christ. Remember when Jesus asked Peter and Co. to pray for Him, while Jesus went alone to talk to God? The boys went and napped, while Jesus poured out his soul in prayer. Why is it so easy to share with a stranger about a fishing or hunting trip, than to share the Gospel? Which has more value? My heart's desire is to find like minded men. Men who are sold out, on fire for Jesus Christ. Men who are willing to commit to prayer and let themselves be transparent. Allowing other men to come into their lives and hold each other accountable. I have seen it work. It requires trust, time and commitment. The last is severely lacking in the church today. Ladies you have it down. Women's studies around the country are thriving. Guys, you want to know why? The ladies are willing to open up and reveal their inner most pains and struggles. They also share their inner most desires and joys. Guys the key here is, they open up. They commit to each other and share. Men we need to be willing to share.

Men, the Bible has ordained us to be leaders of the home as Christ is head of the Body. We are not to lord it over our wives like some victorian ogre, but with love and example. To shower our wives with agape love. But we need each other guys. To finishes the race that God has set us in. We need to pick up our brothers when they fall, not knock them down or run them over. We need to love on each other, to make sure no one is left behind. That the love of Christ is shared with everyone along the way. Guys ask yourselves this one question:

"Am I willing to to stand in the gap, sacrifice some time and help my brothers iun Christ finish the race?"

Guys if we are, then the gates of Hell will shudder and Satan will cower in his evil pit.

Guys help raise the standard for Jesus and join or even start a Men's fellowship in your church today. God Bless.
